Virtual walk
What is the virtual walk?
The virtual walk is a twist on our annual Manchester Midnight Walk. We are asking you to walk 10km during the month of May 2022. Do 10k your way to raise funds for St Ann’s Hospice.
Is there a set route and distance?
You choose your route and distance. We ask you to do 10km but you could choose 10km a day, 10km over a weekend or one 10km walk at some point in the weekend.
When is the event?
You can take part over the weekend of the Midnight Walk (20th – 22nd May 2022), but if you can’t make those dates then join in any time in May!
Do I have to be fit to take part?
You set your own pace and target so this event is open to people of all abilities. If walking can be hard for you, you could walk 1km a day for 10 days. If you are looking for more of a challenge take on 10km a day over the weekend and walk 30km. This event really is open to everyone.
Do I have to be over 18 to take part?
Anyone of any age can take part in this challenge, all we ask is that anyone under 11 is accompanied by an adult.
Where should I do my challenge?
You can do your 10km anywhere you would like, your local park, garden or your local area.
How do I let you know I have completed my challenge?
Please email us on events@sah.org.uk to let us know you have completed your challenge
What happens once I complete my challenge?
Once you have let us know we will send you a medal in the post.
